Acclime expands its geographic reach to six markets in the region with the acquisition of Money Matters for Expats in Singapore.

20 January 2020, Hong Kong – Acclime, the premier corporate services provider in Asia, announces today that it has completed the acquisition of Money Matters for Expats Pte Ltd (Money Matters) in Singapore. With this latest acquisition, Acclime now has a presence across six jurisdictions in Asia, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, with over 200 professional staff.

This acquisition extends Acclime’s capabilities in the region as Money Matters provides a comprehensive range of business support solutions including company incorporation, corporate secretarial, accounting, tax, immigration and payroll services; serving the needs of entrepreneurs and start-ups, and equipped with professional expertise to support multinationals operating in or entering Singapore. Money Matters has an excellent reputation and scored 36 out of 36 in a recent compliance audit conducted by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority.

Along with Asha Dixit, CEO and Managing Director and Anil Dixit, Director, the team of 27 professionals at Money Matters will join the Acclime family.

“We are excited to be part of a regional network and look forward to be integrated under the Acclime umbrella,” Asha Dixit, CEO and Managing Director commented. “With the Acclime network, not only do we extend our geographic reach beyond Singapore, our clients can gain access to on-the-ground experts to help them navigate other complex Asian markets.”

“Singapore is an important investment hub for the Asian region and perhaps more so since the recent events unfolding in Hong Kong,” Martin Crawford, co-founder and CEO of Acclime commented. “The country is one of the largest recipients of FDI inflow, and the gateway to emerging and developing countries in the ASEAN region. Establishing a presence in Singapore further strengthens our footprint in the region; we are well-positioned to serve clients who have cross-border needs, especially to those difficult-to-navigate emerging markets in Asia.”

Foulger Underwood, specialist M&A advisers to the trust and corporate services sectors in Asia, acted as advisers to Money Matters on this transaction.
